When depositing assets into your Cobo account, you may occasionally encounter delays in receiving your funds. To help you quickly identify the root cause and resolve the issue, we’ve compiled the most common reasons for deposit delays, along with verification steps and practical suggestions to help you troubleshoot with confidence and ease.
1. Why hasn’t my deposit arrived yet?
Deposits may not be credited in time due to the following categories of reasons:
▍Blockchain Network-Related Factors
Node synchronization delays: Network nodes require time to sync data. If the node handling your transaction is out of sync, confirmations may be delayed.
Insufficient confirmations: Each blockchain requires a specific number of confirmations before a transaction is considered valid. Funds will not be credited until the required confirmations are met.
Layer 2 confirmation time: For Layer 2 solutions (e.g., Optimism), even after the L2 reaches its required confirmations, the transaction must still be finalized on the Ethereum L1 mainnet. Only when the L1 status is marked as block finalized is the transaction considered complete.
Finality on Layer 2 networks can vary. For example, Arbitrum documentation (link) states that finalization may take anywhere from 1 to 24 hours, depending on network load. Such delays are expected behavior.
Network congestion: High on-chain traffic may slow down transaction processing and extend the time required for deposits to be credited.
▍User-Side Transaction Issues
Missing or incorrect Memo/Tag: For tokens such as XRP, XLM, EOS, and IOTX, a correct Memo/Tag must be included. If omitted or incorrect, the deposit cannot be automatically matched or credited.
Incorrect token or chain: Depositing tokens to the wrong blockchain (e.g., sending USDT to a non-USDT address or across incompatible chains) will prevent proper crediting.
Invalid deposit address: If the address used does not belong to Cobo or was not generated by the Cobo system, the deposit cannot be credited.
Returned transactions: Some failed transactions may be automatically refunded to a Cobo withdrawal address.
Rejected by third-party platform: Withdrawals from external platforms may be returned due to issues on their end, affecting your deposit arrival.
▍Unsupported Transaction Types
Contract deposits not automatically credited: On all EVM-compatible chains (except Ethereum mainnet), internal contract transactions (internal txs) are not currently supported for auto-crediting.
Special transaction types: Certain transfer types, such as Check operations on XRP, are not supported.
Smart contract version limitations: Chains like ETC or FIL may use outdated contract formats that are not compatible with our auto-crediting mechanism.
Non-standard transfer formats: Transfers via the TON network using contract types like TON excess or Jetton Internal Transfer are currently not supported for automatic credit.
2. How can I check the status of my deposit?
Please prepare the following information to facilitate accurate review:
Transaction hash (TxID)
Deposit timestamp and how long it has been delayed
The number of confirmations required for the specific token
Verification methods include:
Checking a blockchain explorer to view the transaction status and confirmation count.
Verifying deposit status codes:
600: Transaction successfully broadcast to the blockchain
700: Required confirmations have been met
Contacting Cobo Support to confirm whether internal system Webhooks were triggered properly.
3. How long do deposits normally take?
Standard deposits: Usually credited within a few minutes to several hours depending on blockchain confirmation times.
Deposits requiring manual intervention: Processing may take 7–15 business days.
Special cases: Some exceptions may require a longer time frame depending on the complexity of the issue.
Please remain patient and monitor your deposit status as it updates.
4. Will manual processing fees apply?
Yes. If the deposit cannot be automatically processed due to user-side issues — such as missing Memo/Tag, incorrect chain, wrong token type, or unsupported contract interactions — manual intervention will be required by our backend operations team.
Manual review and processing incur operational costs, so a handling fee applies.
The current reference fee is approximately 47 USDT, but this may vary based on the technical complexity and required on-chain operations.
To avoid additional fees or delays, please make sure to:
Double-check that your deposit address is valid and generated by Cobo
If applicable, ensure the Memo/Tag is filled in accurately
Confirm that the token type and network match your intended deposit target
Verifying these details beforehand will help ensure smooth deposits and save time and cost.
5. What if my deposit has not arrived after one month?
Unless exceptional circumstances apply, we are unable to support deposit recovery requests older than 30 days. To avoid this, please verify your transaction shortly after initiating a deposit. If you notice any issues, contact Support as soon as possible with the transaction details to expedite troubleshooting.
